The Main Pharmaceuticals Inspectorate’s international collaboration is developing in two basic forms – bilateral and multilateral.
- Bilateral collaboration is above all information exchange with national pharmaceutical inspection bodies worldwide, covering all matters lying within the competencies of the Main Pharmaceutical Inspectorate.
- In the multilateral forum, the Main Pharmaceutical Inspectorate participates in the work of committees, numerous working groups and expert circles which function within international organisations – those which gather together pharmaceutical inspection bodies and also others whose competencies include broadly-defined issues related to oversight of the medicinal products market and supervision of medicinal products for humans and animals, including:
o World Health Organization (WHO)
o European Commission (EC)
o Council of Europe (CoE)
o European Medicines Agency (EMA)
o Pharmaceutical Inspection Cooperation Scheme (PIC/S)
o European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM)
o Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA)
o United Nations International Narcotic Control Board (UN INCB)
o Working Group of Enforcement Officers (WGEO)
o International Medical Products Anti-Counterfeiting Taskforce (IMPACT)
